System improvement project underway

The Las Vegas Valley Water District (LVVWD) has begun a project that will include upgrades to various areas of the Kyle Canyon Water System. The project, scheduled to be completed in phases over the next three years, will include installing new pipelines, fire hydrants, water meters and other water system infrastructure throughout the Kyle Canyon community.

The first phase of the project involves installing new pipelines and fire hydrants on State Route 157, Crestview Drive, Kris Kringle Street, Knotty Pine Way, Old Park Road and Silver Tip Trail, in that order. The contractor may work concurrently on some streets. After the new pipelines are installed, the contractor will install water meters for each customer on these streets and on Snow White Drive, Echo Road and Jack Frost Street.

Residents can expect road closures and detours around the construction areas; however, access will be maintained to each property. The contractor will work until winter snowfall begins. Notifications have been mailed to all customers.

LVVWD will continue to provide the Kyle Canyon Town Board with updates on this project. If you have any questions about this project, please contact Bronson Mack at 702-822-8543.
