Start Service


Residential

To start or transfer residential water service, call our office Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m at (702) 870-4194.

Request service before 3:30 p.m. for same-day service (not available on weekends or holidays). Same-day requests incur a $15 fee.

Commercial

To start water service for a business, fill out and submit the commercial service form. Please allow 48 hours (excluding weekends and holidays) to process your start service request.

NOTE: Customers who request activation of a service shall be responsible for damage resulting from such activation due to open or faulty piping and/or fixtures on the customer's property.

Deposits

You may be required to provide a deposit.

For residential properties, the deposit is a minimum of $150. The deposit is due when you request service.

For commercial properties, the deposit is based on either the three highest bills at the property within the last 12 months or standard deposits for new services.

Surety bonds

You may provide a surety bond in lieu of a cash deposit. For convenience, fill out the surety bond form online before printing.

  • Bond must be for the correct dollar amount of security deposit required
  • Principal on the bond needs to be same as LVVWD Customer Name
  • LVVWD Customer Account Number must be listed on bond
  • Bond must be written by a company rated A or better and Class V or higher of financial size category in the current issue of Best’s Key Rating Guide
  • LVVWD will need the original bond with seal, signature and date
  • LVVWD will need Power of Attorney with original seal on Power of Attorney attached to the bond
  • Bond (Security Deposit) will remain posted to the account for a minimum of 2 years and/or until the account’s credit has been established to the satisfaction of the LVVWD
  • 60-day notice of cancellation required
