Water use in the Las Vegas Valley Water District's service area
is governed by the Water District's Service Rules. Many of the regulations
in the Service Rules are supported by city and county ordinances
as shown below. In addition, Clark County and the City of Las Vegas
have developed codes specifying landscaping requirements for new
developments and turf limitations.
In the event that a city or county ordinance overlaps
or contradicts regulations in the Service Rules, the Service Rules
will have precedence within the district's service area.
For more information about the Water District's
drought measures, see the Drought
Restrictions section.
