The Big Bend Water District (BBWD) serves approximately 8,800 citizens in Laughlin, Nevada.

BBWD is a general improvement district and political subdivision of the State of Nevada that was created in 1983 to supply water to Laughlin residents and businesses. A Board of Trustees governs the BBWD and has jurisdiction over all of its affairs. The Las Vegas Valley Water District operates and maintains BBWD.

Big Bend Water District

New BBWD Service Rules in effect

Since September 2008, the Las Vegas Valley Water District (LVVWD) has operated and managed the Big Bend Water District (BBWD) on behalf of Clark County. As the new agent for the BBWD, it was necessary to update the Service Rules to ensure uniform and equitable service for all BBWD customers.

The new Service Rules were approved by the Laughlin Town Advisory Board on March 9, 2010. Subject to the LTAB’s conditions, on June 1, 2010, the Rules were approved by the BBWD Board of Trustees and took effect on July 1, 2010.
